Ambuja Cements Q4 net profit up 5.95% at Rs 532.29 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 532.29 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 502.40 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 5.95 per cent.
Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 12.31 per cent at Rs 4,780.32 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 4,256.31 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 14.83 per cent to Rs 3,982.53 crore from Rs 3,468.05 crore in year ago period.
Other Income grew by 1.64 per cent at Rs 176.82 crore versus (Mar'23 Rs 173.97 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 1.21 per cent to Rs 797.79 crore as against Rs 788.26 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 9.88 per cent in March quarter.
Interest grew by 0.99 per cent y-o-y to Rs 33.80 crore, while Taxation increased by 5.51 per cent at Rs 148.71 crore (Mar'23 Rs 140.95 crore).
